Hi all,
You will never believe what Meme found for Sophie today! A chinese babydoll!!! So, of course she had to get it, Duh!
Thank you Meme for the too cute babydoll that looks like our sweet Sophie will look!
Now I can't wait to see her playing with it. I'm thinking it will probably have to go to China with us!

Aunt Marcia and Alvin ordered these cds special for Sophie with her name recorded right in with the songs! Wow!

Our LID Party for Sophie was today!!! 12-14-06

Today was all about two very important things: God and Sophie! We wanted to have a party in honor of our baby girl and to celebrate having an official LID (which is the date China recognizes us as her potential family). So, we sent out invitations to friends and family and gathered to celebrate the LID and God's work thus far.

We wanted to share the importance God has in our lives and just how much we truly depend on Him to create, care for, and prepare the way for us to go to China and get our baby girl.

We also wanted to reveal the name we have picked for the baby. Now everyone can be reminded to pray for her and to put a name on a person. Now she can be as real to each of you as she is to us already.

I created prayer cards with scriptures that are encouraging to us and offically put her name on it. This is the very first thing we will have and always be able to remember with her sweet and beautiful name in print!

Thanks to all of you who came and shared in our fun! Thanks for remembering us and Sophie in prayer! Thanks for being a part of our fun and for taking part in this big milestone along the way!

PS: Thank you Rodney for the beautiful cake you had made with our precious baby girl's sweet name. You even remembered to get it in PINK! You are going to be a great daddy for a little girl who I already can see will worship you and of course wrap you around her finger!
