Six Months and Still Waiting

We celebrated our six month LID anniversary at a local Chinese restaurant! We had some family and friends go with us to celebrate. My two best friends both came and bought their babies. They both have sons. I love to spend time with them and watch them! I could stare at them the whole night! Everything they do is fun and makes me look so forward to having Sophie here to share in these type of outings!!! Thanks Bet and Angela for coming. I also can't leave out my parents! You both are so much a part of my everyday life that I can't imagine celebrating anything without you two being involved! Thanks for the support and love you show me daily! I love you both very much!

May Secret Pal Gifts

Our secret pal sent us some great gifts! I have been wanting some new Toddler sets and haven't broken down and bought any yet. Now I have a great one. The formula dispenser is awesome! My friends with babies all brag about how much they use theirs! The Bibsters will be wonderful for family outings especially camping! The food goodies were really a neat addition to the box. My pal really outdid herself with the authentic Chinese goodies. I love the cookies and chocolate! Yum! Bailee was especially happy to not be left out! The cute box and candies were fun for him. He saved the box and has it on his dresser! Our Secret Pal made our May brighter! Thanks again! You are the best!

Love in Christ,
Tammy

Pictures of gifts from my April Secret Pal from our adoption yahoo group

My secret pal ended up being a friend I have made in our group with the same LID as us. We are hoping to get to travel together since we share LIDs. Her name is Courtney Turnmire and she is from Virginia. We have become good friends and are continuing to learn about each other and our families. I got lucky enough to have her draw my name for a pal. She was awesome and sent the greatest gifts for Sophie and me!!! God works in the coolest ways! God is good... All the time!!!
Tammy

Thanks Courtney for being a wonderful secret pal and a great friend! Love ya girl!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Ms. Gayle Weems, a precious lady in our church used some extra material she had at home to surprise us with blankets she made for Sophie. They are the perfect size and weight to take with us on our trip to China. The planes are always so cold and I can just see Sophie all wrapped up in her blanket when we get to bring her home! I can't wait until that day!!!

Love ya Ms. Gayle,

Tammy, Rodney, Bailee and soon to be Sophie

We need your prayers!!!

Hi all! Today our packet went into the mail to Shaohannah's Hope, which is Stephen Curtis-Chapman's and his families' organization that helps Christian couples with Chinese adoption expenses. They offer grants to families they feel qualify for assistance. Please lift us up in prayer and pray they feel as if we deserve some assistance. It would mean a lot to get any help they are willing to give us towards our trip to China! The bulk of the expenses are paid at that time and we are saving as hard and fast as we can. So with a grant from them, it would be a great addition to our savings for Sophie girl!!!

Father God,
I thank you for the opportunity to even fill out paperwork for help! I thank you that you have placed it on the Chapman's heart to assist other families who are willing to adopt from China. Father bless the Chapman's and their three chinese daughters! Thank you that You know best no matter the outcome and help us to serve and praise you along the way. Your love, grace, and mercy are sufficient. I trust in You about this and about taking care of Sophie until You take us to her. I love you Lord! Amen

Thanks to everyone who sends up prayers for us, this grant opportunity, and expecially for our precious baby girl Sophie!!!!

We love you all,
Tammy
