Mail Surprise ! ! !

We received an update in the mail from our adoption agency on sweet Sophie girl today! It was a completed packet of the referral info we had already downloaded from the file they had sent us last week. However, it also had some extras... It has Sophie's immunization record. She has had all her shots and is up-to-date on them all! Praise God! Poor Bailee had to have soooooo many shots when we got home with him and he was not a happy little guy when we would get in the car to go that direction! So maybe Sophie won't have to fight that battle! We also have information on how to send Sophie her first care package from us. We get to send her an outfit, pictures of us (her family) :-) , toys, blanket, food treats, etc... It cannot be much but it is something from us! So we are excited to put that together for her this week. Please continue to pray for her safety, health care, and nurture. We are so thankful! God is so good!

P.S. The front page of the booklet said "Congratulations on your new daughter" and had her little face in the middle of the page. So sweet!!! I just love hearing that.... I have a daughter! :-)

Love you all,

Tammy

We anticipate a referral (aka - matched with a baby) within this month!!!! Oh my Goodness... Did I really say that????? Yep! We were informed this week by our agency that we were at the top of the list and should be hearing something from them very SOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! We are overjoyed and jumping around like the energizer bunny. PRAY for us as we wait it out these next few weeks and pray that God gets us matched with the perfect little girl that He has intended all along!

Still Here and Still Waiting. . . 19 months today

We are 19 months in as of today!!!

(taken from another adoption family in our group... Thanks Rebecca & Mark)

Now on to something I have been wanting to do for a while and never taken the time to do . . .

Questions and Answers for the many people in our lives that are invested in this adoption with us!!!

Sometime far, far, far in the future we'll meet our little one.

Are we STILL adopting from China? Absolutely.

Do we ever feel sad, angry or upset that the wait is so absurd? Absolutely, pretty much all the time!

Do we ever doubt that it will happen? NO! But doubt that it will happen when we want it to.

Does doubt make us want to give up? Absolutely not. Our God is bigger than DOUBT!

Do we believe that we'll someday be emailed a photo of the face of our girl? Absolutely. And can hardly wait!

Do we wonder why we felt so called to adopt only to face an unexplainable long wait? Absolutely. But still know that God lead us into this and down this path. Hence our motto: If God brings me to it, He will most certainly see me through it!

Might we be carrying canes when we FINALLY travel to China? Absolutely, but at least we will get to spend our Social Security checks on Sophie, what could be better!

Are we happy that there will be so much time between Bailee & Sophie? Absolutely not, hopefully though Bailee will be that much more to her, not just a big brother but another security and example.

Do we still believe that God's timing is much better than our own? Absolutely.

Will we wait? Absolutely.

Does Sophie STILL feel like a member of the family? Absolutely! The best way I can explain this to anyone is think about finding out you or your spouse or a family member is pregnant and you begin to anticipate the joy and happiness of that little one but ONE DAY the doctor tells you that your due date has been extended to a time that only God knows and when your baby is ready to be born God will make it happen. So you go on preparing, investing your time, heart, and money into this little ones life, you name the baby, talk about the baby, and feel as if you know the baby, but STILL WAIT for the baby's arrival! You aren't going to say I want to miscarry this baby or forget about this baby, you SIMPLY wait! And, long for the day the baby finally delivers. RIGHT? Well, that is exactly where we are! Rodney, Bailee, and ME all feel as if Sophie is already a part of our lives. We talk about her, buy things for her, prepare for her, pray for her, and regularly visit her stuff (aka her room). We just don't get to see her or hold her YET! But it will come, in God's prefect time and plan!
So, please remember us and her in your prayers and do not DOUBT that this will happen because we do not doubt... WE WAIT!
You can wait along side of us and support us, love us, and share in the joy of preparing for her... But you cannot discourage us or change our minds because we are completely invested in this journey with every ounce of our existance!

Thanks for listening and understanding,
Tammy
