Vacation in Destin Florida 6/4-6/11 2011

Its been awhile since we have posted so i will update you on Sophie first.
She has really come a long way in the past 2 months with her vocabulary and personality. I think you can tell in the pictures she is really enjoying life. She is saying more phrases and not just words now so hopefully she will continue to progress. She has been able to adjust and let other people in just a little, but at any moment of invasion into her space she will shut you down and yell for Moma or Ba-ba. She does not like to ride in her carseat tho we had a 6 hr ride to the beach. She is eating very good and her medicine is still helping with the sleep. One night on vacation she woke up and had a meltdown, she wanted to go down stairs screaming home! home! moma took her downstairs woke everyone else up, so she took her to the patio screaming and crying home! home!. I got up and told Tammy that somebody would call the law on us with her outside so we got her to the car and 2 hours later we returned at 3:30 am and went to bed. She was very happy when we turned into our driveway saying home! home! We had a great time with great friends!

Happy Easter! Tomorrow will be the day we celebrate our Risen Savior rising from the grave defeating death. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe!!

8 months!!

Tomorrow will be 8 months since our "Gotcha Day" and it has been such a fast and fun time around here. Sophie has brought so much excitement to our lives and we thank God daily for the blessings he has allowed us. Sophie update:
Sophie is saying so many words and short phrases that we have lost count, anything you say she will try to repeat "when she wants to."
As of our checkup at IAC in March she is in the 75th percentile as far as weight and height, doing great there!
She still gets real clingy to us when around absolute strangers, but seems to remember people quite well and is more secure and playful with other kids.
She is still in love with Bailee and is really comfortable with me as well.
Mom is still the rock that Sophie clings to, and is enjoying all the girly stuff.
My parents are continuing to keep her daily and have really bonded well with her. I have taken a new job within Pepsi and has cut into my afternoon time with Sophie and i really regret taking it, but i still get plenty of time to be with my family at night so it will get better i just hate change.Enjoy the pics of our growing little girl!!

Sophie turned 2 on Feb. 5th

Well Sophie girl has turned 2 on Saturday Feb. 5th, and she was treated like a princess, infact we had a princess party for her in pap's church activity building. We had 2 pricesses, an inflatable, food, food, food, and a big crowd showed up. Tammy had school so i got to spend all day with her and Bailee. On the following Wednesday we had our 6 month post adoption in home, and it went great. On Feb. 15th we took Sophie to see Barney live in Tupelo and she had another big time.
Since we have been home life has been one big party for Sophie and doctor appointments. Looking at the calendar it is not gonna change, we have more appointments coming as well as D-Now weekend coming up and Bailee has a birthday on the 8th of March.

We woke up Saturday and decided to take a day trip to Memphis and take Sophie to the Zoo. The weather was pretty, temps in the 60's and sunny. Sophie enjoyed all the animals and we had a great day!
